Abstract

El Hospital Cardiológico Infantil Latinoamericano “Dr. Gilberto Rodríguez Ochoa” es una de las colosales obras realizadas por el Gobierno Bolivariano de Venezuela y su Presidente Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías. Su impacto social es incuestionable, si se tienen en cuenta las 4802 intervenciones realizadas desde su inauguración el 20 de agosto de 2006 hasta diciembre de 2010, desglosadas en 2599 cirugías cardíacas, 1982 por hemodinámica y 221 de electrofisiología, el 66 % de ellas en niños menores de 4 años.
