Ventriculografía como medio diagnóstico en la rotura cardíaca subaguda tras un infarto agudo de miocardio
Abstract
Los riesgos de complicaciones mortales en el infarto agudo del miocardio persisten a pesar de las nuevas tecnologías para su diagnóstico y tratamiento. La rotura de la pared libre del ventrículo izquierdo es una de sus complicaciones mecánicas, y se puede presentar desde un episodio súbito con colapso hemodinámico y la muerte en pocos minutos, hasta formas más silentes que duran horas o días, lo cual permite estabilizar al paciente, someterlo a medios diagnósticos para mantener el tratamiento médico o que este sirva como puente para la conducta intervencionista o quirúrgico. En este artículo se describe el caso de un paciente con infarto agudo del miocárdico que generó la sospecha diagnóstica de una rotura subaguda del ventrículo izquierdo con divergencia de las pruebas no invasivas por lo cual se le realizó una ventriculografía izquierda como examen definitivo.
