Abstract

Idiopathic hypertension is common in adults, and some patients are considered resistant or refractory to treatment. In such cases it is often associated with a patho-logical process which hinders its control, in spite of changes in lifestyle and the proper use of drugs. This article is about an adult female patient with refractory hypertension due to aortic coarctation. CT scan and angiographic images are shown.
