Abstract

Editor's Note:

Readers and other members of the scientific community are hereby informed of the retraction of the article "Estimation of Cardiovascular Risk in Middle-Aged Women According to the Intensity of Climacteric Syndrome and Cardiometabolic Vulnerability", authored by Mario Gutiérrez Machado, MD, and Juan A. Suárez González, MD, whose abstract is published in this journal under the section "Ahead of Print", prior to the publication of the full text (https://revcorsalud.sld.cu/index.php/cors/article/view/903).
Recently, the first author has informed us that the aforementioned article has been accepted and will be published in another journal. As a result, he has requested to withdraw it; however, this is not feasible. We condemn this behavior, but we appreciate being informed about it.
Therefore, in accordance with the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (https://www.icmje.org/) and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE https://publicationethics.org/), the Editorial Board of CorSalud has decided, on July 22, 2023, to proceed with its immediate retraction to prevent duplicate or redundant publication, which constitutes a violation of publication policies and is contrary to the ethical and academic principles governing the dissemination of scientific knowledge.
